I make Master's laugh so much, that he decided to let me have a spot on his blog every once in a while. Writing is therapy for me - so before I get into the story, I'd like to thank Kenny for helping me keep my sanity. Hooray!!


NEW TO THE GAME


What ever happened to favour for a favour? Give and You Shall Receive? Eye for an Eye? Over the last couple of years, I've noticed people I meet are getting more and more selfish. Everybody wants something for free. Are people getting stingier or is surviving in this world getting so difficult that everybody's gotta pinch to make ends meet? I told myself that no matter what the circumstances were, I'd continue to give until I can't give anymore. Who was I fooling? lol

Case in point - I was at a house party not too long ago. A lot of rappers from The Dot were there - we were doing what we do. Mingle with chicks, Drink, Smoke and Cipher. It was the perfect gathering. The mood suddenly changed when a young damsel in distress entered the room. She looked ok I guess. Her hands were a little dry.. couple questionable bumps on her mug... but she could get it. She wanted to get a picture of her and her girlfriends, but unfortnately, the batteries in her camera had died :(

She canvassed the room for assistance. I had front row seats, the cruel and selfish world we live in indeed. Pure indifference! NOBODY volunteered. Man nor woman. I was almost embarrassed to be amongst such heartless people. To her advantage, I had my digital camera on me. Like the nice guy I am, I told her that I would take the picture for her. She wasn't satisifed. She wanted to borrow my batteries. These weren't no dollar store batteries. We're talkin' Energizer, recharchable, Nickel Metal Hydride joints here. The GOOD SHIT.

I didn't know this woman. I've heard stories about people asking to borrow your cell phone to make a call then running away with your shit. I wasn't about to put myself in a situation that could be potentially dangerous - without a reward for my risk that is. I gave her an opportunity to return the favour in some way. She couldnt think of anything. Although I drank half of a bottle of henny (the big one) and smoked some powerful piff, I still feel to this day that what I asked for in exchange was fairly reasonbale. This was my response:

"Give me a handjob, and you got a deal."

The tension in the room could be cut with my uncle's Guyanese cutlass. She was cheesed. She ranted for a while, but I didn't care. I think I made the right move. There was a 50/50 chance I would've gotten my part of the deal. If I just handed over my batteries I woulda been a sucker! Fuck that. Favour for a favour my fair lady! give and you shall receive.. eye for an eye..right? I can still see the look on the faces of some of the people in the room - Especially Masters, who truly believed I ruined his party. I was told nice guys finish last. It was time for me to WIN! Sorry Ken.

To this day, people tell me I'm wrong for saying what I said. I'm at a party full of rappers, producers and other industry people. It's freezing outside and a chick decides to put on a bustier with CRAZY underwire that pushes up her breasts. Come on... She deserved to have AT LEAST one raunchy, sexual advance thrown her way. Cause and effect if you ask me.
