Sooooooo? What Now?

Whenever there's something bubbling in this city I'm usually one of the first to hear about it. I approach all of these situations the same, I hear them, create my own opinions and approach them as honestly as possible with the information I'm given.

2 days ago I get a call from one of my people, stating that Big Page (Ballin Is My Hobby and Still Fly) put out a record dissing Drake. I was out of town due to my excessive coolness, so I wasn't really able to keep up wit what was going on worldstar (aka the internet). When I got home I decided to take in this video that people were acting crazy about. After 2 or 3 listens (trying to be non biased) there were 2 questions I had to ask..."was page just releasing a record where he was venting and giving the people honesty through his music?" or "was this an actual diss record (which are usually used for promotional purposes and buzz boosting)".

Now, I don't know the details of Page and Drakes situation so I can't really comment on that. What I do know is, they put out one of the anthems of the summer "Still Fly"(shout out boi1da) and on the strength of that record alone a joint like this this should never hit a large outlet like the World Wide Web (IMO).

Whether Page was trying to insult Drake or if he didn't care about how things will be perceived, the facts are, unfortunately in this generation of music, if you release a record discrediting another man and his lack of "honesty" "realness" and "credibility", the general public in hiphop music will take this as a diss record. So now that the attempt to attack a fellow artists credibility has been made and all the twitter insults been thrown back and forth. The question I ask is, "What Now?"
