Dope to see another artist with the same mentality that i have. Prince Ea definitely has some interesting things to say in this video. There is a mindset that I personally feel is attacking young people and leaving them confused and lost. It's coming from the music. The machine is destroying the positive messages and leaving us with songs that got us calling ourselves stupid and convincing us that knowledge is not something to be cherished and appreciated. Give me Elzhi over Wacka Flocka Flames ANY DAY!!! . Now please don't get it confused I definitely got some wacka flocka flame in the deck, but I consider myself to be one of the lucky ones who has the ability to make the seperation between a word I should follow and a word I shouldn't.

Understand what you stand for and the things that don't fit that standard cannot affect you. Unfortunately alot of people dont yet know what they stand for, and turn to the easily acceptable trend to show them what they should be about.

Apple announces iPad

New tablet splits difference between smartphones, laptops.

Apple on Wednesday took the wraps off its long-rumored tablet device, with CEO Steve Jobs showcasing the iPad during a product event in San Francisco.

Slated to arrive at the end of March, the iPad will start at $499 for a Wi-Fi-equipped 16GB model. Apple will also sell 32GB and 64GB versions of the iPad for $599 and $699, respectively.

You’ll be able to add 3G connectivity to each of them for $130 more, with the 3G models arriving roughly a month after the iPad arrives in stores.

A slate that looks much like a larger iPhone, the iPad features a home button, a MacBook-like aluminum bezel and a glass screen. It’s a half-inch thick, weighs 1.5 pounds, and has a 9.7-inch LCD screen (with 1024 by 768 resolution). It will use a custom-made 1GHz CPU and flash storage and, Jobs claimed, will get up to 10 straight hours of battery life or a month of life on standby.

The iPad runs on a 1GHz Apple A4 chip. That’s an Apple-built processor resulting from the company’s April 2008 purchase of PA Semi, which specialized in low-power processors.

For connectivity, in addition to the optional 3G, it has 802.11n, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.1; it syncs to a Mac via USB. To feed those 3G connections, Jobs also announced two new cellular data plans from AT&T: $14.99 a month for 250MB of data, $29.99 a month for unlimited data; both are prepaid, meaning neither requires a contract like the two-year commitment that iPhone users must make.

The interface

Apple touts the iPad as a third category of device, positioned between a smartphone and a laptop. During Wednesday’s presentation, Jobs drew a pointed contrast between the iPad and netbooks—lower-cost PCs that have sold well in the mobile market. But Jobs characterized netbooks as slow, burdened with low-quality displays and running PC programs. “They’re not better than a laptop at anything,” Jobs said. “They’re just cheaper.”

Rapper Lloyd Banks has been charged with forcible confinement, aggravated assault and robbery after a dispute at a Kitchener hotel.

A half dozen years booking concerts and celebrity appearances have

yielded Chris Hines lots of drama, like the time the limo ferrying actress

Vivica Fox got lost or a venue neglected to stock turntables for DJ Kid

Capri. But none compared to the spectacle that unfolded last weekend

after the Brantford concert Hines organized for American rapper Lloyd Banks.

"I'm shocked; I don't understand it," said the 36-year-old Toronto native

of the beating he said he endured after being ambushed inside a Kitchener hotel room.

Nursing two dramatic shiners and limping from a sore thigh, the genial

Hines recounted the tale in an interview with the Toronto Star at his North York condo.

Banks (legal name Christopher Lloyd), 27, and three associates have

pleaded not guilty to charges of forcible confinement, aggravated assault and robbery.

The New York emcee, who spent four nights at Maplehurst Detention Centre

and posted $50,000 bail, returned to the U.S. on Wednesday.

His co-accused, road manager/DJ Shaun McGee, 31, and hypeman Tyrell

Cooper, 24, left the day before. Bodyguard Nicklas Sloane, 25, remains in

custody on an immigration matter.

"There's a whole rich story that surrounds the circumstances here that has

not surfaced and won't surface until we get to court," said Banks's lawyer

Patrick Ducharme, who expects the case to take a year to get to trial.

Meanwhile, Hines is still reeling from the aftermath: physical soreness; non

-stop phone calls and emails from friends and relatives; and online

comments that label him a snitch for getting the police involved.

But what's most troubling is the negative vibe from some scheduled acts

who believe rumours that the fracas ensued because Banks wasn't paid.

That could seriously impact Hines's livelihood booking about 200 concerts,

parties and appearances annually, for the likes of reggae artist Sean Paul,

rapper Nas and actor Shemar Moore.

"I've done parties where Jay-Z showed up, Mick Jagger, the Wayan

Brothers," said Hines, who dropped out of high school to work when he

became a father at 15. He was employed mainly at gas stations and car

rental agencies before a fortuitous introduction to rap group Onyx got him

into the music biz.

His association with Violator Management garnered opportunities to work

with rapper 50 Cent and his G-Unit clique, which included Banks, for whom

Hines said he has previously booked more than a dozen shows.

Friday's show was a rescheduled date at Brantford's Club NV from

December when Banks unexpectedly had to accompany 50 Cent to Africa

for a gig, Hines said.

But the night went awry. Taking the mike 90 minutes after his scheduled 1

a.m. slot, Banks introduced the first song but seemed disillusioned by the

lacklustre response from the crowd at the half-filled venue, Hines said.

The rapper quit the stage and returned to the hotel.

After quelling club staff and promoters' demands that Banks return his fee

(amount undisclosed), the 6-foot-4, 250-pound Hines said he was

confronted by four men when he got back to his hotel room. "I never

expected what went down to go down," he said. "I expected maybe people

were angry and I could understand that, but I wasn't expecting to be hit.

"After the first punch, it was like, `Okay, he's upset, disrespecting me a

little bit, but cool, I'm not going to be stupid.' I sat on my hands to show

them like `Hey, I'm not trying to do anything crazy.' I knew if I fought

back there was going to be no winning. When they hit me again, I fell on

the floor. Then it really started to hit me, `What the F is going on?'"

Despite hip hop's bad rap, Hines said this was unusual.

"I've never heard of anything like this happening. You can curse people,

maybe you don't talk to them again, but for it to get physical – nobody

was drinking and nobody was doing drugs. I think what really got this to

escalate was peer pressure."

When police were spotted outside the hotel, apparently summoned by

hotel security, Hines said his attackers returned his jewellery and wallet

and left.

- I have been following the sport of boxing for almost twenty-five years. The first fight I remember seeing was the epic encounter between Marvelous Marvin Hagler and Tommy Hearns. I was only ten years old at the time, and I remember being absolutely mesmerized by the back and forth action. Before the fight’s conclusion, I had officially become a boxing fan. Of course, I would soon learn that this was an exception rather than the rule. Not all boxing matches would be as exciting and action packed as this instant classic. Even still, I began to grow a deep appreciation for the sweet science.

Throughout the years following, I continued tuning in and my appreciation grew deeper. During the late 80s, the 90s, and the 00s, I watched an awful lot of boxing and witnessed many big fights.. The best thing about a big fight is always the build up and uncertainty surrounding the event. Whether it was the invincible aura of Mike Tyson, the first showdown with Riddick Bowe and Evander Holyfield, the excitement surrounding the clash between Mexican warriors Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales, or any of the other huge events the sport has witnessed in the last twenty-five years, nothing beats the build-up and intrigue surrounding a high profile fight.

This is why it is so disappointing negotiations between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Junior collapsed. Never in all my years as a fight fan have I seen so many people so enthusiastic about a single match up. The craziest thing is that the hype and intrigue for this fight started shortly after Pacquiao shocked the boxing world when he annihilated Oscar De La Hoya. This was before Mayweather had even announced he was coming back. Even then, fans were stoked by the possibility of a Pacquiao-Mayweather showdown. When Mayweather announced he was coming out of retirement, the excitement intensified. When Pacquiao destroyed Ricky Hatton and Floyd dominated Juan Manuel Marquez, the excitement was further amplified, and by the time Pacquiao had impressively bludgeoned Miguel Cotto, interest had reached an all time high.

A showdown between Pacquiao and Mayweather seemed all but inevitable.

Yet here we are, less than two months later, and everything fell apart right before our eyes. This is simply inexplicable! It is outrageous that Pacquiao and Mayweather are denying fans what would potentially be the biggest fight in boxing history. Not only would this be the highest grossing, biggest selling fight of all time, but it is a fight of tremendous historical importance. We have two fighters who are universally recognized as the best pound for pound boxers in the world. Both are in their primes and both are fighting in the same weight class. This is a fight that just had to happen, and it has to happen soon. Unfortunately, it will not.

It does not matter who is to blame. I understand both sides of the story. On one hand, by refusing to comply with Mayweather’s request for Olympic style drug testing, Pacquiao creates the perception of guilt. If he has nothing to hide, why not agree to the terms? On the other hand, by making unprecedented demands for vigorous drug testing procedures, Mayweather creates the appearance that he is trying to find a way out of the fight. If Mayweather is so certain of victory, why not trust the regulatory commissions to ensure fair play? Regardless of who is at fault, this whole thing stinks. In fact, it sucks!

The simple truth is that both fighters are to blame. One way or another, this is something that should have been worked out via compromise. That these two parties were unable to reach agreeable terms to bring this fight to fruition is inexcusable. Even more frightening is the fact that these two had already agreed on money! That is the hard part. Rarely in the sport’s history has a fight of this magnitude broken down after the principle parties had already agreed on a purse split. That just makes this all the more baffling and all the more frustrating. It reminds me of the failure of Roy Jones Junior to come to terms with Dariusz Michalczewski, except this is much, much worse. In that instance, very few people had heard of Michalcewski outside of his home region, ergo, this was a fight whose appeal was limited to hard core boxing fans. In the case of Mayweather and Pacquiao, however, the two are both household names. Even those who are only remotely interested in boxing were excited at the prospects of this fight happening.

At the end of the day, this is a huge blow to boxing. Many casual fans who were excited about a mega showdown between Pacquiao and Mayweather are fed up. They no longer care for the nonsense, the grandstanding, or the empty posturing. Enough is enough! Boxing fans wanted to see a battle of talent, but instead, we got stuck with a clash of egos. In the end, the people who suffer most are those who help keep the sport alive and well—the fans themselves. Pacquiao, Mayweather, and everyone else involved in these failed negotiations ought to be ashamed. This is absolutely disgusting. Never in all of my years as a fan have I been so utterly disappointed.

If I could say one thing to Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, I would simply ask: What the hell are you people doing?

This is sad news for boxing fans and a big blow to the sport we love. It is easy to understand the indifference these two are showing towards the fans, however. After all, boxing is a business. Pacquaio and Mayweather are such big stars that the money means nothing to them. Maybe they will not each make upwards of $35 million for their next fight. So what? They will still make good money no matter what, and they can probably clear that amount over their next two fights. Who cares that the fans are the ones getting screwed? Clearly Mayweather and Pacquiao do not care or they would have found a way to make this work. Instead, the two fighters are heading their separate ways and we are left wondering what could have been.

Thanks a lot Manny and Floyd! Thank you for screwing over all of us fans!

I've used poor judgment before. I believe most people have made a mistake or two at one point in their lives -- just like Gilbert Arenas. I spent a vacation in Mexico a couple years ago and my cell phone didn't have any service, making it useless. For some inexplicable reason, I brought it out one night, knowing it that I wouldn't be able to call or text anyone. When I got back to my hotel room later that night, I realized I had lost it. I had used bad judgment from the beginning by bringing my cell phone out when I clearly didn't need it.

But it was okay. A friend of mine told me that losing it was probably going to be a blessing in disguise because it was in bad condition anyways. I couldn't do anything about it and when I returned home, I got a new phone -- a much better phone. My friend was absolutely right.

(Side Note: Although the parallels between my situation and Arenas' poor judgment seem downright silly, when professional athletes try to joke around with their teammates by pulling out four guns, loaded or unloaded, that stupidity opens themselves up to all sorts of ridiculous comparisons.)

GREED is another powerful weapon of containment.
Blacks, since the abolition of slavery, have had large amounts of money at their disposal. Last year they spent 10 billion dollars during Christmas, out of Their 450 billion dollars in total yearly income (2.22%). Any of us can use them as our target market, for any business venture we care to dream up, no matter how outlandish, they will buy into it. Being primarily a consumer people, they function totally by greed. They continually want more, with little thought for saving or investing. They would rather buy some new sneaker than invest in starting a business. Some even neglect their children to have the latest Tommy or FUBU, and they still think that having a Mercedes, and a big house gives them "Status" or that they have achieved the American Dream. They are fools! The vast majority of their people are still in poverty because their greed holds them back from collectively making better communities. With the help of BET, and the rest of their black media that often broadcasts destructive images into their own homes, we will continue to see huge profits like those of Tommy and Nike. Tommy Hilfiger has even jeered them, saying he doesn't want their money, and look at how the fools spend more with him than ever before). They'll continue to show off to each other while we build solid communities with the profits from our businesses that we market to them.

SELFISHNESS, ingrained in their minds through slavery, is one of the Major ways we can continue to contain them. One of their own, Dubois said that there was an innate division in their culture. A "Talented Tenth" he called it. He was correct in his deduction that there are segments of their culture that has achieved some "form" of success. However, that segment missed the fullness of is work. They didn't read that the "Talented Tenth" was then responsible to aid the Non-Talented Ninety Percent in achieving a better life, Instead, that segment has created another class, a Buppie class that looks down on their people or aids them in a condescending manner. They will never achieve what we have. Their selfishness does not allow them to be able to work together on any project or endeavor of substance. When they do get together, their selfishness lets their egos get in the way of their goal. Their so-called help organizations seem to only want to promote their name without making any real change in their community. They are content to sit in conferences and conventions in our hotels, and talk about what they will do, while they award plaques to the best speakers, not the best doers. Is there no end to their selfishness? They steadfastly refuse to see that TOGETHER EACH ACHIEVES MORE (TEAM)! They do not understand that they are no better than each other of what they own in fact, most of those Buppies are but one or two paychecks away from poverty. All of which is under the control of our pens in our offices and our rooms. Yes, we will continue to contain them as long as they refuse to read, continue to buy anything they want, and keep thinking they are "helping" their communities by paying dues to organizations which do little other than hold lavish conventions in our hotels. Whenever there's something bubbling in this city I'm usually one of the first to hear about it. I approach all of these situations the same, I hear them, create my own opinions and approach them as honestly as possible with the information I'm given.

2 days ago I get a call from one of my people, stating that Big Page (Ballin Is My Hobby and Still Fly) put out a record dissing Drake. I was out of town due to my excessive coolness, so I wasn't really able to keep up wit what was going on worldstar (aka the internet). When I got home I decided to take in this video that people were acting crazy about. After 2 or 3 listens (trying to be non biased) there were 2 questions I had to ask..."was page just releasing a record where he was venting and giving the people honesty through his music?" or "was this an actual diss record (which are usually used for promotional purposes and buzz boosting)".

Now, I don't know the details of Page and Drakes situation so I can't really comment on that. What I do know is, they put out one of the anthems of the summer "Still Fly"(shout out boi1da) and on the strength of that record alone a joint like this this should never hit a large outlet like the World Wide Web (IMO).

Whether Page was trying to insult Drake or if he didn't care about how things will be perceived, the facts are, unfortunately in this generation of music, if you release a record discrediting another man and his lack of "honesty" "realness" and "credibility", the general public in hiphop music will take this as a diss record. So now that the attempt to attack a fellow artists credibility has been made and all the twitter insults been thrown back and forth. The question I ask is, "What Now?"
